First project of the Foundation is Ahmed Memorial Library at Banshbaria. Its functions and activities are being closely monitored from Dhaka with the assistance of a part time Assistant.

a.The library Subscribed for one News paper Janokantho locally and
got three monthly Journals as complimentary from Dhaka after sending request letters to all the journals published in Dhaka. Those are 1.Shikhkha Bichitra; 2.Gonoshathya and 3.Monthly Modina.
The library is kept open from 10.00am to 1.00pm and 3.00pm to 6.00 pm every day of the week except Friday which general weekly holiday in Bangladesh.
b. The librarian who is working on nominal monthly honorarium is sending monthly report in a prescribed form which shows how many person is coming to library everyday, how many books are issued and how many books are returned. The report form is being prepared carefully in Dhaka . The filled up form is prepared by the librarian and certified by Secretary and President of the Library.
c. A regular Awareness Build up Program for Village illiterate women is organised once in a week. Mrs.Badshah mia an elderly village widow is entrusted to read out loudly some important books to a group of women on every Wednesday afternoon in the library premises . This program is highly appreciated .
d. Reading habit promotion program was announced in July 2000. It was declared that Tk.1000.00 (one thousand) will be given to a primary school student who will come to the library and pick up a book of his choice and write down one page with good hand writing. The prize will be given to that student whose hand writing will be considered as best by a board of judges at the end six month.
This program was initiated to attract the students to come to the library.





The Library is a two storied tin roofed building on a plot of high rise land so that in times of flood it can give shelter to the flood effected families.
