Those who organized the Foundation, were motivated by a sense of respect for their common heritage and pride in their ancestry. They saw the Foundation as a vehicle through which they could participate directly in charitable efforts to improve the condition of their ancestral village, and in some ways contribute to the development of village life in Bangladesh. It provides a personal connection to a sense of giving and caring for others by being able to identify a village, with whom the Ahmed descendants can have an emotional attachment, and see tangible results of their own contributions.
Over the years, with limited contributions, and the donation of a part of Moulvi Ahmed's original house, a library was established for the people of Bansbaria and surrounding villages. The library http://www.libdex.com  was expanded with further contributions from the National Book Center and Government of Bangladesh. To carry forward the activities of the Foundation and expand its operations help, assistance and guidance is expected from anybody from anywhere of the world.
